Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 1, 2025. Last Updated: June 2026.
Automaticus Inc. ("Automaticus," "we," "us," or "our"), incorporated in New York with offices in Brooklyn, NY, operates https://www.automaticus.us and the Automaticus AI agent platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information.
At launch, the Service includes the Inbox Agent (Gmail/Outlook), YouTube Agent, and LinkedIn Agent. This policy describes those integrations accurately.
1.1 Information We Collect
Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials via Supabase Auth. Google/Microsoft OAuth may provide your name, email, and profile photo when you connect those services.
Payment Information: Processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe collects billing details subject to its own privacy policy.
Connected Account Data: When you authorize Gmail, Outlook, YouTube, or LinkedIn, we access data from those accounts as described in Sections 1.3 and 1.4.
AI-Generated Content: Draft emails, LinkedIn posts, YouTube scripts/metadata, and writing-style summaries stored to provide the Service.
Usage Data: IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and timestamps (including aggregated analytics via Vercel Analytics).
Log Data: Server requests, errors, crash reports, and performance data.
1.2 How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Inbox, YouTube, and LinkedIn agents
- Read and categorize email; draft replies; send mail only after your approval
- Learn writing style from sent mail to improve drafts and LinkedIn posts
- Generate YouTube and LinkedIn content; publish only after your approval
- Process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
- Authenticate you and secure your account
- Send transactional emails (billing receipts, trial expiry, security alerts)
- Improve the Service, conduct analytics, and monitor performance
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
1.3 Data From Connected Third-Party Accounts
Gmail / Google (Inbox): Scopes: gmail.readonly, gmail.send, gmail.modify. We access email subjects, body content, sender/recipient metadata, and thread history — used for inbox categorization, drafting, sending on your approval, and writing-voice learning from sent mail. Not used for advertising. Automaticus's use of Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
Microsoft / Outlook (Inbox): Scopes: Mail.Read, Mail.Send, User.Read. Same inbox usage as Gmail above.
YouTube: Scopes: youtube.upload, youtube.readonly. Channel data, video list, metadata, and upload after your approval. Subject to the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and YouTube Terms of Service. Revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
LinkedIn: Scopes: openid, profile, email, w_member_social. Basic profile (name, email) and publishing posts you approve. We do not access your LinkedIn message inbox or post history through the LinkedIn API.
Third-party account data is used exclusively to perform authorized tasks. We do not sell this data or use it to build advertising profiles.
1.4 Cross-Agent Data Use
Writing voice: We analyze email you have sent via your connected Gmail or Outlook account to build a style guide used when generating LinkedIn posts and email drafts. Voice is learned from your inbox connection, which may differ from your LinkedIn login email.
LinkedIn DM alerts: We scan your connected inbox for LinkedIn notification emails (from linkedin.com domains) to surface message previews and draft suggested replies. You review and approve before any action. This does not use LinkedIn messaging API access.
LinkedIn post samples: You may optionally paste past LinkedIn posts manually to supplement your voice profile.
1.5 Data Storage and Security
Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL on AWS). Encryption at rest: AES-256. In transit: TLS 1.2+. We implement access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure.
1.6 Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: Service providers (Supabase, Stripe, DeepInfra, Tavily, Vercel Analytics) under data processing agreements; legal authorities when required by law; and in connection with business transfers, subject to confidentiality obligations.
1.7 Data Retention
Data retained while your account is active. To request account deletion, email privacy@automaticus.us. Personal data deleted within 90 days of a verified request. Financial records retained 7 years per law. OAuth tokens revoked and deleted upon disconnection.
1.8 Your Rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and opt-out of sale (we do not sell data). Contact privacy@automaticus.us. Response within 30 days.
1.9 Children's Privacy
Service not directed to individuals under 13 (or 16 in the EU). Contact privacy@automaticus.us to report inadvertent collection.
1.10 International Data Transfers
Data may be processed in the USA. For EEA users, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
